My story

 

Ava Petrosa is a freelance photographer, and loves that photos can represent never-ending memories with a click of a button.

Ava photographs all events such as birthday’s, bridal, maternity, and weddings, including head shots and more.

She interned with the National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders (NALCAB), KSAT 12 News, and Photographer Clem Spalding. She photographed NALCAB’s 9th Annual National Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2014 and at the Lone Star Emmy’s in San Antonio in 2013.

Ava graduated from Texas A&M University-San Antonio with a master’s in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in communications journalism. She was the Advertising Director and Calendar Editor for the school’s online news The Mesquite. She joined the Mesquite team Summer 2012 to report on parenting education programs at Wesley Health and Wellness Center for The Mesquite’s special issue on health-care and family wellness.

She is a 2005 Burbank High School graduate and received her associate’s degree in liberal arts in 2011 from San Antonio College. Ava reported for The Ranger, San Antonio College’s award-winning student newspaper.

She is located in San Antonio, Texas and travels to most bordering towns.
